Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorgeous Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rich Wood!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob cracks Wood with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A shot to the liver by Bob. Beautiful body shot.
Bob misses with a hook.
Wood doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wood counters with a nice body shot.
A big left from Wood misses.
Bob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wood moves away.
Wood avoids the body shot from Bob.
Bob misses with a lunging right hand
and Wood counters with a thumping low kick.
Wood steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bob.
Wood throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bob counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A jab from Bob finds it's way through Wood's defenses.
Wood lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bob misses with a looping right.
Wood throws out a counter right but Bob avoids it with no problem.
Bob throws out a powerful jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bob uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wood.
Bob throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Wood slips a jab from Bob.
Bob misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Wood.
Bob lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wood at a distance.
A combination from Bob does no damage.
Bob throws a hook but Wood blocks it.
Bob scores with a hook.
Bob misses with a hook to the body
and Wood counters with a series of strikes. Bob will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bob misses with a right hand
and Bob takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bob swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wood fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bob has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bob is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bob throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
It seemed like Wood was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bob jabs at Wood's body.
Bob throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wood throws a lazy right hand but Bob sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wood with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bob to score with a decent uppercut.
Wood finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bob misses with an uppercut. Wood saw that one coming.
Wood takes a swing at Bob's ribcage but misses.
Bob slips under a jab from Wood.
Wood moves away from the strike by Bob.
Bob scores with a nice strike.
Wood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bob swings for the body but Wood moves out of range.
Wood lands with a thumping leg kick.

Bob loads up on a big right hand but Wood slips the punch.
Bob lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Wood misses with a hook.
Bob is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Rich Wood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bob rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wood counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wood tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wood avoids the body shot from Bob.
Bob throws a hook to the side of Wood's head but Wood sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Wood scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bob doesn't seem bothered though.
Wood uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bob.

and Wood counters with a nice leg kick.

Wood moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bob throws a body shot but no joy.
Bob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wood.
Wood lands with a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bob steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wood.
Bob fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wood manages to avoid it.
Gorgeous Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob throws a hook but Wood blocks it.
Wood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bob on the side of the head.
Bob swings widly with a right hand
and Wood counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A jab from Wood does it's job there.
Wood drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Bob lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bob lands with a good body shot.
Bob throws a jab when Wood was well out of range.
Wood changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gorgeous Bob dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Wood counters with a straight right hand.
Bob throws a hook but Wood blocks it.
Bob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wood moves away.
Wood lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bob scores with a decent looking hook.

Bob shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bob showed some decent athleticism there.
Bob lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Wood is trying to maintain the position but Bob is very close to passing his half guard.
Bob lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bob is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wood can do to turn this around?
Wood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bob lands strikes from half guard.
Wood tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.
Bob is nestled in close to Wood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bob landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Wood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bob's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bob's back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bob trying to control but not successfully.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Wood.
Wood is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Bob up.


Bob is rocked!
Wood lands strikes to the head.
Oh Bob is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wood is landing big shots and Bob is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rich Wood!
Rich Wood very nearly forgot to thank Organic Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
