Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alastair Dunn! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body kick there by Anderson. Dunn throws a leg kick and Anderson counters with a single leg into guard. Dunn didn't expect that. Anderson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Dunn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dunn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dunn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Anderson passes Dunn's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Anderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dunn has managed to free his arm - good work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dunn trying to control but Anderson postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dunn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dunn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Anderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Anderson's back! Dunn scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Anderson. Dunn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Dunn is retaining full guard. Anderson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dunn's head. That's three minutes gone in the round. Dunn is pulling down on Anderson's head. It's preventing any offense from Anderson, at least for the moment. Anderson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson passes Dunn's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dunn is staying active underneath Anderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Anderson is looking to advance position but Dunn won't allow it. Anderson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dunn kicks off Anderson and gets to his feet. Anderson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dunn. Anderson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Dunn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Some bone on bone action there as Anderson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Anderson scores with a decent looking hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sparky Anderson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

It seemed like Dunn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Dunn shoots in but no luck this time. Anderson scores with a takedown into Dunn's guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn throwing strikes but Anderson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. You can see the frustration on Dunn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dunn struggling a bit here. Dunn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Dunn punching from the bottom.

Anderson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Anderson wants to control the pace but Dunn is squirming around nicely. Dunn slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dunn wants to control but Anderson is keeping busy.
Dunn pushes Anderson off looking to stand but Anderson dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Anderson is looking to take a break and control but Dunn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Anderson prevents Dunn from improving his position. Dunn trying to control from the bottom.
Dunn pushes Anderson off looking to stand but Anderson dives back in and keeps control.
Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dunn can do to turn this around? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dunn is trying to get back to full guard. Anderson is taking a breather. Dunn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sparky Anderson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Dunn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dunn darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Dunn into the cage. Dunn connects with a looping right hand.
Alastair Dunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Anderson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Dunn misses with an uppercut. Anderson saw that one coming. Dunn misses with a body shot.

Anderson goes for a double leg but Dunn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dunn continues to drive forward. Dunn works Anderson's body with a nice hook. Jab from Dunn. Anderson misses with an uppercut. Anderson tries a head kick but it misses.
Dunn gets caught flat footed, as Anderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Dunn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Anderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dunn keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Dunn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there. Dunn keeping full guard, as Anderson tries to pass. Anderson wants to control from the top but Dunn keeps moving.

Anderson working away. Dunn has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sparky Anderson is winning the standup battle so far. Anderson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dunn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Anderson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Anderson gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dunn, who protects the arm well. Dunn is working to avoid the ground and pound but Anderson connects with a decent elbow.
