Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yogg Saron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hoppus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoppus has chosen Not Now as his entrance music. Saron is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yogg Saron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Hoppus! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoppus misses with a takedown attempt - Saron sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Saron is breathing heavily. Saron misses with a takedown attempt and Hoppus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hoppus is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Saron has managed to free his arm - good work. Hoppus is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saron defends it well. Hoppus is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hoppus wants to stand up but Saron has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hoppus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saron sees it coming and defends easily. Saron tries to get to full guard but Hoppus has control of the leg. Hoppus is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saron defends it well. Saron wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hoppus is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Saron has managed to free his arm - good work. Hoppus wants to work for an arm triangle but Saron is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Saron tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Hoppus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Saron tries to roll over but Hoppus keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoppus is working for a kimura but Saron is defending it quite comfortably.
Hoppus passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Saron!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Saron is trying to escape the mount.
Hoppus looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Saron is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hoppus has control of Saron's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Saron regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hoppus moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Saron has worked his arm free - good work by Saron!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Hoppus dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hoppus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hoppus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hoppus moves out of range of the body kick. Nice takedown defense from Saron. No joy for Hoppus on that attempt. Yogg Saron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Hoppus. Hoppus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoppus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Saron has escaped the position, nice work there. Hoppus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hoppus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Saron tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Saron is looking for a sweep. Hoppus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Saron, who protects the arm well. Saron is pushing Hoppus's head away, looking to escape. Hoppus manages to hold on to the position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hoppus tries for a kimura but Saron is defending well. Hoppus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hoppus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hoppus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hoppus stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoppus misses with a takedown and Saron counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Hoppus looking for submissions off his back. Saron is taking a breather. Hoppus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hoppus wants to improve his position but Saron is controlling well.
Saron missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hoppus looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mark Hoppus will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Saron is pressed up against the cage. Hoppus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Saron down to the mat. Saron avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Yogg Saron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Hoppus. Saron fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Saron throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hoppus misses with a takedown attempt and Saron counters with a takedown into side control. Saron working away. Hoppus is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hoppus looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Saron lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saron stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Saron bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hoppus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Saron counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hoppus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Saron sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hoppus's guard. Hoppus is looking to control Saron's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hoppus avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoppus with the active half guard here but Saron passes nicely into side control. Hoppus bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Excellent takedown into side control there by Saron. Saron knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoppus on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoppus is looking to reverse the position. Hoppus wants to control but Saron postures up. Hoppus tries to bench press Saron off him but Saron keeps the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saron advances to full mount. Yogg Saron has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hoppus is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hoppus is in a horrible position here. Saron smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Saron trying to control but Hoppus is having none of it. Saron looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Saron cracks Hoppus with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Saron wants to control the pace but Hoppus is squirming around nicely. Saron sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Saron dominating with strikes here. Hoppus wants to try and get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoppus regains half guard. Hoppus actively working from the bottom here.
And that's the end of the fight! Yogg Saron showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hoppus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
