Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Glenanagan (ranked 3772 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Vandam (ranked 12052 p4p, 602 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gary Glenanagan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gary Glenanagan seems to be OK! 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Vandam! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body punch from Vandam. Vandam connects with a single shot there. Gary Glenanagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Glenanagan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Vandam thumps Glenanagan with a low kick. Vandam scores with a jab to the body. Vandam's jab looks to have found its range, popping Glenanagan under the eye. Vandam drives through with a takedown into Glenanagan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Glenanagan looking for subs off his back but Vandam has passed one foot through into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vandam passes the guard and advances to mount! Vandam dominating with strikes here. Vandam in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Vandam lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Glenanagan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

After the fight, Billy Vandam was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
