Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jugger Naut (ranked 6911 p4p, 552 weight class) and Lucky Day (ranked 4969 p4p, 489 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jugger Naut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lucky Day!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naut slips under a jab from Day.
Day lands with an uppercut that bounces Naut off the cage and back into range.
Naut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Day circles away.
Day throws a big shot that misses.
Naut ducks under a wild hook from Day.
Day slaps away a takedown attempt from Naut, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Day stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Naut takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Naut scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Day can't do much from the bottom here.
Naut throws a strike aimed at the side of Day's head but Day avoids it well.
Naut has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Naut is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Day will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Day managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Naut.

Naut is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Day is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Day stops Naut from passing to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Naut is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Day has escaped the position, nice work there.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Naut decides to stand back up. Naut steps back and let's Day get back to his feet.
Naut avoids the body shot from Day.
Day lands a really nice looking cross but Naut seems unphased.
Day lands an overhand right.
Day jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lucky Day is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Naut moves to clinch but Day breaks away
and Day counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Day looks to land a right hand but Naut moved out of range.
Naut tries to counter with a takedown but Day is quick to defend against it.
Naut moves in looking to clinch but Day pushes him off.

Naut takes one to the side of the head.

Day gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Naut to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Day really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Naut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Day is working an open guard so Naut takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Day stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Day wants it to stay on the feet.
Day has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Naut is landing a low percentage of strikes.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Naut with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Day to score with a decent uppercut.
Nice takedown defense from Day. No joy for Naut on that attempt.
Day looks to land a right hand but Naut moved out of range.
Day clobbers Naut with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Naut gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Day.
Naut is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lucky Day seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Naut throws a leg kick but Day sees it coming and checks it nicely.
It seemed like Day was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Naut loads up on a big right hand but Day slips the punch.

Day gets caught flat footed, as Naut shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Day can do anything to dispel that myth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Naut accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Naut gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Naut moves to clinch but Day breaks away
letting Day counter with a right hand.
Naut ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Day moves away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Naut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Naut advances nicely into full mount.
Day is squirming around, avoiding Naut's attempts to control the action.
Naut lands a nice shot to the head.

Naut scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Naut looking to control but Day is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Day bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Naut wants to sweep but no luck.
Naut is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Naut darts in looking for a takedown but Day gets double underhooks and turns Naut into the cage.
A little jabbing left from Day on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Lucky Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Day stuns Naut with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Naut doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Day ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Naut moves away.
Lucky Day is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Naut trying to move into half guard but instead Day has managed to sweep!

Naut is striking but Day is not phased and passes to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are battling for position here. Naut manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Naut throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Naut looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Naut is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Day stops Naut from standing up.
Jugger Naut overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Naut manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Day manages to get himself to full guard.

Jugger Naut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Naut stands up and waves to Day to follow him.

I've got Day winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
