Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Hunter (ranked 5564 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuil Bronson (ranked 6258 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Weird Al" Yankovic - Fat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Samuil Bronson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuil Bronson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bronson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunter somewhat. Bronson avoids the head kick by Hunter.
Bronson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunter pinned against the cage. Hunter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bronson looking to score a takedown here. Hunter is defending well but Bronson drives through and ends up in Hunter's guard. Bronson throws an elbow that misses. Hunter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bronson's guard. Nice move by Hunter!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter forces his way into half guard. Bronson punching from the bottom.

That has opened up Samuil Bronson's cut even more. Hunter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hunter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bronson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hunter has hold of Bronson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bronson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hunter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bronson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter controlling from mount. Hunter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bronson is looking to escape. Bronson is desperately trying to improve his position but Hunter has a good base and remains in mount. The referee warns Bronson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

This isn't 1993 though, so Bronson shrugs it off. Hunter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bronson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hunter prevents Bronson from getting the reversal. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson keeps trying to improve his position. Hunter avoids the attempt from Bronson to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bronson can do anything to dispel that myth. Hunter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bronson looks a forlorn figure.
Bronson gets back to half guard. Bronson is trying to control but Hunter passes into side control!
Hunter tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Bronson is trying to improve his position. Bronson seems a little lost for a moment, as Hunter dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter trying to control the position but Bronson is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter scores with a couple of short elbows.
The cut above Samuil Bronson's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hunter slows the pace down. Bronson is looking to regain half guard here but Hunter keeps moving and retains side control. Hunter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bronson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hunter presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Bronson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Hunter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunter wants it to stay on the feet. Hunter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hunter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hunter happy to just control the position for now. Hunter scores with punches from side control. Bronson tries to bench press Hunter off him but Hunter keeps the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bronson keeps working. Hunter wants to stand but Bronson has his arm trapped. Bronson misses with an elbow from the bottom. Hunter working the ground and pound. Bronson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. Hunter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hunter wants to control the position but Bronson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Bronson wants to control but Hunter is keeping him busy. Bronson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
It looks like Rex Hunter has been cut. Hunter is staying active underneath Bronson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bronson throwing shots but Hunter is blocking nicely. Hunter works his way to full guard. Good work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunter wants to control from the top but Bronson keeps moving. Bronson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hunter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bronson can do to turn this around? Bronson keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully. Hunter won't allow Bronson to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hunter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bronson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hunter stacks Bronson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hunter! Hunter working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bronson is looking for a sweep. Hunter laying and praying for a moment but Bronson takes advantage and regains half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hunter in particular looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Hunter dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Bronson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunter did well to prevent Bronson getting side control. Bronson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
