Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kruiz (ranked 2572 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Hizer (ranked 4480 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruiz comes to the cage accompanied by ZARILA KANDZE. Hizer has chosen Papa as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Hans Hizer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Kruiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hans Hizer!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruiz cracks Hizer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kruiz staying out of range there.
Hizer darts in looking for a takedown but Kruiz gets double underhooks and turns Hizer into the cage.
Kruiz dips to his left and cracks Hizer with an uppercut!
A jab from Kruiz does it's job there.
Kruiz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hizer.
Kruiz connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hizer's hands.
Kruiz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hizer circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hizer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kruiz drives through with a takedown into Hizer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kruiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kruiz throwing strikes here but Hizer is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kruiz throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hizer because Kruiz loaded up on that one.

Hizer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kruiz.

Kruiz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kruiz goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hizer turns into him and now he's in Kruiz's guard.
Hizer is looking to work some ground and pound but Kruiz has wrist control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kruiz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hizer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hizer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kruiz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hizer throws a strike but Kruiz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hizer is looking to stand up but Kruiz isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kruiz won't allow Hizer to sweep him here.

Hizer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kruiz is controlling him.
Kruiz stays in close to Hizer's body and controls the position.
Hizer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kruiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kruiz forces Hizer back against the cage and clinches.
Hizer has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kruiz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kruiz works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Hizer is trying to keep Kruiz in close.
Kruiz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hizer can do to turn this around?

Hizer wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Kruiz has taken Hizer's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Hizer has been forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tom Kruiz!
After the fight, Tom Kruiz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Hans Hizer stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn this sucks man. But props to Edwin Marquez for winning the title tonight, he is a young gun and will make a great champion.'.
