Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Volya Nikolaev (ranked 51 p4p, 8 weight class) and Dixie Small (ranked 87 p4p, 11 weight class). Nikolaev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fever . Small has chosen Penis song as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small misses with a body shot.
Small gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Nikolaev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nikolaev looks to land a right hand but Small moved out of range.
Small has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Dixie Small seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Small shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nikolaev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Small throws out the jab.
A counter left hand to the body from Nikolaev misses its target.

Small working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nikolaev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nikolaev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Small isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nikolaev stacks Small on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nikolaev!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Volya Nikolaev.

A relieved looking Volya Nikolaev thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Dixie Small had this to say: 'It was a good win, but nevertheless, I'll still be bringing home my opponent's girl . Don't feel left out man. And as usual, we'll be making a pov video for all you fans out there. Sayonara'.
