Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Duran (ranked 5436 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Silverio (ranked 5516 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brandon Duran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Silverio! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duran dodges the punch combination from Silverio.
As Silverio looks to move away, Duran throws a big counter combo but Silverio just gets out of the way. Duran drops Silverio with a beautiful combination! Silverio stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Duran is looking for the KO!
Silverio is rocked!
It looks like Jose Silverio has been cut. Duran cracks Silverio with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Silverio looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Duran finish him?
Silverio is still on wobbly legs! Can Duran finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silverio tries to close the distance and clinch but Duran swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silverio seems to have recovered his senses. Silverio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Duran wants to get back to his feet. Silverio seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duran does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Silverio stops Duran from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silverio seems to be working for a kimura but Duran defends the submission attempt. Duran pushes Silverio off looking to stand but Silverio dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Silverio shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Duran drops Silverio with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Silverio looks back up at him and smiles so Duran waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Silverio is rocked! Silverio switches off momentarily and Duran cracks him with a monster right hand! Silverio topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Duran dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Duran!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brandon Duran!
