Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Baru Herrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryron Inthachack! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inthachack tries to clinch but Herrera moves out of range. Herrera gets a takedown into half guard. Herrera is keen to just control but Inthachack is a slippery customer. Herrera looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Herrera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Inthachack keeps working. Inthachack is trying to control but can't.
Inthachack keeps control of the position for the meantime. Herrera wants to stand up but Inthachack is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herrera is thwarting Inthachack's attempts to control the position. Inthachack is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Herrera is staying active.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Inthachack circles away from the clinch attempt and Inthachack counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Inthachack. Inthachack looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Inthachack looks gassed! Herrera has his feet on Inthachack's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Herrera bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Herrera working the head and body with strikes. Inthachack tries to bench press Herrera off him but Herrera keeps the position. Herrera is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Inthachack has escaped the position, nice work there. Inthachack takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Inthachack is not content to let Herrera control the position. Herrera wants to control for a moment but Inthachack uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inthachack stops Herrera from getting back to his feet.
Inthachack is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Herrera defends it well. Herrera missing with punches from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Herrera wants to get back to full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Herrera throws a left and a right that both miss
and Inthachack counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Herrera! Herrera is looking to get to half guard. Herrera is working hard here to advance position. Herrera throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Herrera tries to control Inthachack's body but Inthachack pushes him off. Herrera squirms to his side and now Inthachack has his back! Herrera biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ryron Inthachack will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Herrera throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Herrera doesn't succeed with the takedown and Inthachack counters with a shoot takedown. Herrera fights it but they end up in guard. Inthachack postures up.
Inthachack stands up from Herrera's guard - Inthachack perhaps looking for a knockout. Inthachack changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Herrera looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Inthachack tries to stand but Herrera is controlling his head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Herrera defending against the ground and pound. Ryron Inthachack has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herrera gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Herrera is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Inthachack pulls his head out easily. Inthachack sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Herrera defending well though. Inthachack wants to pass to mount but Herrera is defending the position. Herrera is trying to stand.
Inthachack takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Herrera is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Inthachack jumps into side control! Herrera throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Herrera tries to improve position but can't.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Herrera fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Inthachack sprawls well initially but Herrera persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Inthachack won't allow Herrera to pass to mount. Herrera trying to control from Inthachack's half guard. Inthachack has other ideas though and has regained full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Herrera accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inthachack tries to land a sweep but no joy. Inthachack not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Herrera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Herrera trying to control the position from guard on top but Inthachack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Inthachack drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Inthachack decides to stand back up. Inthachack steps back and let's Herrera get back to his feet. Inthachack closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Herrera tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Inthachack presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Herrera is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Inthachack tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Herrera gets back to half guard. Herrera is trying to control but can't.
Herrera is looking to get back to full guard here but Inthachack has managed to pass to side control instead. Inthachack prevents Herrera from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryron Inthachack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Herrera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Inthachack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Herrera's guard. Inthachack wants to get up but he can't break Herrera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Herrera tries to land a sweep but no joy. Inthachack wants to control from the top but Herrera keeps moving. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Herrera tries to land a sweep but no joy.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Herrera wants to stand but Inthachack is controlling his posture from full guard. Herrera shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Inthachack counters with a slapping leg kick. Inthachack decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Herrera tries to roll over but Inthachack keeps him under control. Herrera moves into full guard.
Herrera is striking from the bottom but Inthachack uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Herrera throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Inthachack looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Inthachack controlling the action here. Herrera pushes Inthachack off but Inthachack dives into side control.
Herrera is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Inthachack is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Herrera keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Baru Herrera has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ryron Inthachack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Herrera looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Ryron Inthachack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Inthachack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
