Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David DeCastro!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller misses with an uppercut
and DeCastro makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Miller tried to score with a low kick but DeCastro checks it.
Miller lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've been informed that DeCastro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Miller falls off balance throwing a combination
and DeCastro counters with a straight right hand.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with DeCastro, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes DeCastro against the cage but DeCastro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Miller plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like David DeCastro has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeCastro keeps the fight on the outside.

DeCastro unleashes a big counter combination but Miller bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
John Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and DeCastro scores with a counter punch that sends Miller to the canvas! DeCastro smells blood - he's punishing Miller with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Miller has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
