Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Hazard (ranked 5453 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Miller (ranked 7330 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Hazard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mason Miller!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazard is looking to land body kicks.
Hazard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hazard feints a jab promting Miller to slip. Hazard then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Miller slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Mason Miller has been cut.
Miller stuffs the takedown.
Miller replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Hazard blocks it well.

Hazard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Miller gets underhooks to prevent Hazard's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Hazard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller stops a takedown attempt from Hazard.
Miller is trying to break the clinch but Hazard has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller tries to break free but Hazard pushes him back against the cage.
Hazard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miller walks away with a smile on his face. Hazard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Miller appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Hazard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Miller wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Hazard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hazard has hold of Miller's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Miller manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Miller really wants to buck Hazard off and get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hazard sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Hazard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hazard has managed to clinch.

Miller's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hazard lands a jab to the head.
Miller throws a sloppy head kick and Hazard moves out of range easily.
Miller throws a combination. Hazard tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Alexander Hazard has been cut.
Hazard takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hazard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Miller can do to turn this around?
Hazard scores with a nice head shot.
Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hazard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Miller.
Hazard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Good leg kick by Miller there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hazard shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Miller now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hazard cracks a nice hook into Miller's ribs.

Hazard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Miller defends well and Hazard ends up having to push Miller into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hazard has closed the distance and engaged Miller in a clinch.
Hazard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Miller to keep the fight standing.

Hazard jumps into guard, dragging Miller to the mat.

Hazard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miller defends it easily.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hazard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Hazard's legs - danger averted.

Miller is looking to stand up but Hazard won't let him.
Hazard managing to control the position.
Hazard throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hazard looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Miller throws a nice looking combination but Hazard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hazard changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miller lands a slapping body shot.
Hazard shoots for a double leg takedown but Miller sprawls well. He's pushed Hazard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Hazard counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hazard. That did some damage!

Hazard moves into the clinch.
Miller prevents a takedown attempt there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hazard is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miller is defending well.

Miller throws a hook but Hazard blocks it.
Mason Miller seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hazard crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miller - the referee stops the clock and Hazard gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miller. Hazard manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hazard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hazard avoids a punch combination nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miller throws a series of strikes that have Hazard backpedaling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mason Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


A looping hook to the body misses from Miller. Hazard does a little dance to reset his feet.
Miller scores with a kick to the midsection.
Miller scores with a push kick.
Miller lands a brutal head kick. Hazard looks out on his feet and Miller throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
