Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Corbett (ranked 7653 p4p, 618 weight class) and Dino Pelayo (ranked 3735 p4p, 451 weight class). Dino Pelayo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pelayo stuffs the takedown.

Corbett has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pelayo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Corbett wants to take the fight to the mat but Pelayo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Corbett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pelayo tries to avoid it but Corbett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pelayo to the ground. Pelayo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Corbett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pelayo but Pelayo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Despite the aggression on Pelayo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Corbett postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pelayo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Corbett, into his guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dino Pelayo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Pelayo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

As Pelayo tries to get set, Corbett tries to push him back and clinch up but Pelayo manages to avoid the attempt.
Corbett dives in for a single leg takedown but Pelayo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Corbett tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pelayo defends well and Corbett ends up having to push Pelayo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Well Pelayo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
