Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott John (ranked 557 p4p, 69 weight class) and JR Adams Junior (ranked 573 p4p, 72 weight class). Adams Junior comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Looking for the Stone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Scott John has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, JR Adams Junior! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams Junior fakes high and swings low for a body shot but John manages to avoid it. John appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. John uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Adams Junior. Adams Junior scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. John doesn't seem bothered though. Adams Junior lands a body shot.
Adams Junior misses with a looping right. We've been told by John's head coaches at Helsinki Private Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. John throws a hook but Adams Junior avoids it easily. John jabs at Adams Junior's body. John lunges at Adams Junior with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Adams Junior's hand. Adams Junior is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Adams Junior does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Adams Junior scores with a hook to the body. John takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Adams Junior looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Adams Junior has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Adams Junior there as he acknowledges the shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! John throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Adams Junior is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Adams Junior shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nice cross by Adams Junior.
That's one minute gone in the round. John walks into a jab. Adams Junior smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Adams Junior misses with a hook. John ducked under it nicely. John swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Adams Junior closes the distance and lands a one-two. John tries a low kick but Adams Junior avoids it. John scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Adams Junior darts in looking for a takedown but John gets double underhooks and turns Adams Junior into the cage. Adams Junior lands with a cross. JR Adams Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. John avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A solid leg kick lands there for John.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Adams Junior scores with a three punch combo!
John is rocked! Adams Junior closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops John! Adams Junior dives in looking to finish! John is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). JR Adams Junior! A relieved looking JR Adams Junior thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
