Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Deadmarsh (ranked 1788 p4p, 215 weight class) and Sherm Davis (ranked 1801 p4p, 216 weight class). Davis has chosen Raf Rundell Ft. Show Boy - Sweet Cheeks as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sherm Davis was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Deadmarsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sherm Davis!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
An inside leg kick lands from Deadmarsh.
Deadmarsh lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Davis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Davis thumps Deadmarsh with a low kick.
We've been hearing reports that Deadmarsh has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Davis has closed the distance and engaged Deadmarsh in a clinch.

Davis struggles to land a body shot inside as Deadmarsh controls his hands.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Deadmarsh will probably get the nod.

Deadmarsh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Davis leaves Deadmarsh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Deadmarsh goes for a double leg but Davis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davis continues to drive forward.
