Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taz McKane (ranked 383 p4p, 48 weight class) and Solomon Wilson (ranked 1555 p4p, 188 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wilson's choice of entrance music: Simple Math - By: DL Incognito. Taz McKane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Solomon Wilson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taz McKane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solomon Wilson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson slips under a jab from McKane. Wilson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wilson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McKane on the side of the head. McKane scores with a punch to the head. McKane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wilson. McKane looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Wilson connects with a single shot there. Wilson tries for a takedown but McKane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McKane is looking to counter punch. Wilson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wilson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McKane sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wilson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wilson stops McKane from getting back to his feet.
McKane trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Wilson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McKane's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McKane manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Wilson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Wilson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. McKane misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson wants to get back to striking at distance but McKane won't allow it.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Wilson. McKane lands a nice shot to the body. McKane throws a punch but it's blocked by Wilson. McKane lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Wilson. McKane lands a right hand. Wilson misses with an elbow strike.
McKane is working Wilson over against the cage. A head punch on the inside from McKane fails to land. Wilson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Taz McKane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wilson loads up on a big right hand but McKane slips the punch. McKane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McKane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wilson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Wilson looks to score with a jab to the body but McKane is just out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wilson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. McKane throws a big shot that misses. Wilson fails with a takedown attempt. Wilson misses with a hook. McKane ducked under it nicely. Nice shot by McKane. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McKane throws a good cross that connects.
Wilson is rocked! Wilson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wilson is still on wobbly legs! Can McKane finish him? Wilson glances at the clock... BAM! McKane nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Wilson crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Wilson is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Taz McKane! After the fight, Taz McKane was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
