Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kay Ector (ranked 1918 p4p, 231 weight class) and Brandon Stark (ranked 1479 p4p, 188 weight class). Ector comes to the cage accompanied by Monster!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

16 - 23 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Stark! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ector throws a lazy uppercut
and Ector takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Some wild striking there from Ector.
Stark with the counter takedown but Ector avoids it easily. Ector throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stark sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stark moves into range and clinches up with Ector. Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Stark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stark scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Kay Ector has been cut. Stark breaks the clinch.
Stark shoots in and bounces Ector off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ector wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Stark manages to pass to side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stark is pressing down on Ector's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ector is holding on for now. Stark wants to work for an arm triangle but Ector is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ector moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Stark wants to control from the top but Ector keeps moving. Stark trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stark wants to control from the top but Ector keeps moving. Ector working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stark. Stark is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stark is fighting to break Ector's control of his arms but Ector is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Stark postures up in Ector's guard and throws a big left but Ector blocks it. Stark wants to control from the top but Ector keeps moving. Stark missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ector pulls Stark in to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Stark manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ector on his heels. He'll look to pass Ector's guard now, I'm sure. Ector keeping moving, preventing Stark from controlling successfully. Stark drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stark jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Stark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Stark throws a front kick aimed at Ector's knee but Ector avoids it well. Ector pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ector looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kay Ector seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ector ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stark moves away. Danga de danga de dang - Stark scores with a four punch combination! Ector swings for the body but Stark moves out of range.

and Stark counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stark is stalling here. Ector is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stark seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ector has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. This has been an exciting period of action! Stark is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stark can't do much from the bottom here. Stark tries to improve position but can't. Stark manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ector is figuring out what he wants to do next. Stark wants to control but Ector is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stark actively working from the bottom here. Stark is looking for a sweep. Ector is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Stark dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kay Ector's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Ector gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stark drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ector gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Stark decides to pull guard. Stark trying to control the position here. Stark manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ector manages to get himself to full guard.
Stark has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stark controlling from the top position.

Stark is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Stark stopping the sweep attempt from Ector. Stark is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Ector is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Stark slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Stark wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ector, who protects the arm well. Stark creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Stark is looking to take a break and control but Ector is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stark looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Ector tries to bench press Stark off him but Stark keeps the position. Stark happy to just control the position for now. Stark working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Stark tries for a kimura but Ector is defending well. Stark wants to control but Ector is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Stark is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ector is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Stark throws a strike aimed at the side of Ector's head but Ector avoids it well. Stark is trying to get an arm triangle but Ector is defending well. A lull in the action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ector gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ector is looking to control Stark's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ector avoid being mounted? The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stark lands a nice short elbow. Stark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ector does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brandon Stark has got the better of the ground game so far. Stark is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Stark is looking for a kimura but Ector is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stark to get the leverage. Ector is staying active underneath Stark, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stark is trying to work for a kimura but Ector is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stark tries to land a front kick but Ector steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ector misses with a body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Brandon Stark. I've got Stark winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
