Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Mcgregor (ranked 4779 p4p, 456 weight class) and Hiro Takahashi (ranked 23598 p4p, 617 weight class). Mick Mcgregor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mick Mcgregor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hiro Takahashi! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahashi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mcgregor swivels and escapes. Mcgregor's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Mcgregor duly obliges. Mcgregor throws a lazy right hand but Takahashi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Takahashi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mcgregor did well to prevent Takahashi getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgregor is looking to control Takahashi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcgregor avoid being mounted? Takahashi is pressing down on Mcgregor's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcgregor is holding on for now. Takahashi sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sloppy strikes from Mcgregor. Those never looked like landing. Mcgregor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takahashi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Takahashi shoots for a double leg takedown but Mcgregor sprawls well. He's pushed Takahashi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Takahashi tries for a takedown but Mcgregor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mick Mcgregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Takahashi. Mcgregor throws a right hand that Takahashi ducks under and follows up with a left that Takahashi also avoids with ease. Takahashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcgregor but Mcgregor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Takahashi shoots in and bounces Mcgregor off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mcgregor wants to get back to his feet but Takahashi passes into half guard.
Mcgregor is refusing to be controlled, as Takahashi sits in half guard. Takahashi tries to pass to full mount but Mcgregor defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi is still trying to improve position. Takahashi works his foot free and advances to mount. Takahashi controlling the position easily from mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takahashi trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Takahashi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Takahashi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mcgregor tries to lock up and control but Takahashi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Takahashi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mcgregor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Takahashi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcgregor is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Hiro Takahashi will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Takahashi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mcgregor is not content to let Takahashi control the position. Takahashi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Takahashi prevents Mcgregor from escaping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takahashi advances to full mount.

Takahashi throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Mcgregor is controlling an arm, preventing Takahashi from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Mcgregor holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Takahashi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Takahashi throwing strikes here but Mcgregor is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hiro Takahashi! After the fight, Hiro Takahashi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. The defeated Mick Mcgregor had this to say: 'I can say only this: Next time i will kill you !!!'.
