Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Hardy (ranked 3696 p4p, 370 weight class) and Jed Knight (ranked 2643 p4p, 293 weight class). Jed Knight will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You can see the frustration on Knight's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Knight's coach down at mickeyharts the greatest was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Knight's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hardy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Knight looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hardy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
