PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RAMPAGE JACKSON (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that RAMPAGE JACKSON was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, RAMPAGE JACKSON!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan tries for a takedown but JACKSON sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sullivan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sullivan trying to control the action but JACKSON is working from the bottom.
Sullivan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but JACKSON is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
JACKSON is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sullivan off and has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - JACKSON's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

JACKSON looking to hold on to the position here but Sullivan rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Sullivan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! JACKSON escapes and throws Sullivan's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
JACKSON throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
JACKSON tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sullivan's legs.
You can see the frustration on Sullivan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
JACKSON content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Let's hope that JACKSON has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
JACKSON is looking to take a break and control but Sullivan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sullivan tries to improve position but can't.

RAMPAGE JACKSON dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sullivan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. JACKSON is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sullivan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take JACKSON's back instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

JACKSON looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
JACKSON rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
JACKSON slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sullivan is standing up over JACKSON. JACKSON looks to escape but Sullivan dives into side control.

Sullivan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, JACKSON rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sullivan's guard! Nice work there by JACKSON!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

JACKSON swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sullivan.

and Sullivan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sullivan wants to pass the guard but JACKSON is keeping the position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Sullivan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
JACKSON prevents Sullivan from getting the reversal.
Sullivan is squirming around, avoiding JACKSON's attempts to control the action.
JACKSON might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sullivan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Sullivan wants to hold on but JACKSON pushes him away.

Sullivan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sullivan is just holding on here. JACKSON manages to take his back.
Sullivan looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
JACKSON has the hooks in. Sullivan is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

JACKSON trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Sullivan doesn't escape.
JACKSON tries to get the hooks in deep but Sullivan pushed the leg off.
JACKSON has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Sullivan.
JACKSON trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
JACKSON is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
RAMPAGE JACKSON comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well JACKSON has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
