Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Redeaux (ranked 5440 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Silva (ranked 5437 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Redeaux! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marcelo Silva! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Redeaux tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Redeaux to the ground. Redeaux escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Redeaux lands with a hook. Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Silva misses with a head shot. Redeaux uses the momentum to regain guard. Redeaux is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Redeaux preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Redeaux swivels though and keeps the full guard. Redeaux is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redeaux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Redeaux tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Silva passes Redeaux's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Redeaux is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silva scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Redeaux jabs Silva to the body, keeping him at a distance. Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Redeaux is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Silva dives into side control.
Silva cracks Redeaux with an elbow. That is naaassty. Silva in side control, just content to control the action for now. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Silva's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Redeaux tries to improve position but can't. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Redeaux knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Silva creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Redeaux down.
Silva in side control, just content to control the action for now. It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Silva advances to full mount. Redeaux is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcelo Silva dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice uppercut lands for Redeaux. That snapped Silva's head back.
Silva drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Silva looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Redeaux is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva scoring with punches to the head and body. Silva lands a couple of elbows. Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Redeaux swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Silva wants to pass the guard but Redeaux is keeping the position. Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Redeaux is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Redeaux has escaped and now he's on top!
Silva has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Redeaux doesn't defend quickly enough and Silva has managed to lock this one up! Can Redeaux escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Silva on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marcelo Silva!
