Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Brewer (ranked 3400 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Cline (ranked 5887 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Brewer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russell Cline! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Brewer as Cline shoots in. Brewer scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Brewer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cline defends it nicely. Cline fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cline tries to clinch there but Brewer circles away.
Cline misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cline fails with the takedown. Jacob Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russell Cline. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cline shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brewer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Brewer is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brewer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Cline. No joy for Brewer on that attempt. Cline tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brewer defends well and Cline ends up having to push Brewer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brewer is defended easily by Cline. Cline closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brewer circles away. Brewer stuffs the takedown attempt from Cline. Cline gets slowly back to his feet. Cline looks winded! Cline throws a lazy body kick and Brewer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cline goes for a takedown attempt but Brewer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brewer throws a nice looking combination but Cline bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cline doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Brewer has closed the distance and engaged Cline in a clinch.
Brewer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brewer closes the distance and clinches up with Cline, looking for a takedown. Brewer pushes Cline against the cage but Cline circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Brewer forces Cline back against the cage and clinches. This has been an exciting period of action! Brewer is trying to drag Cline to the mat but Cline just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Brewer can't get the takedown.
Brewer is looking for a takedown. Cline has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brewer after a bit of a struggle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brewer can't break the clinch.
Cline tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brewer just stands there and leans against the cage. Brewer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Brewer has control of Cline's left arm, preventing Cline from doing any damage. Cline stopping the sweep attempt from Brewer. Brewer pulls Cline in close to prevent any damage. Brewer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cline defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brewer pulls Cline in close to his closed guard and prevents Cline from doing any damage or advancing position. Brewer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brewer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cline defends it easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jacob Brewer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Brewer closes the distance and pushes Cline back into the cage. Brewer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cline can do to turn this around? Brewer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brewer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Brewer controls Cline momentarily but Cline frees himself. Cline trying to control the position from guard on top but Brewer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brewer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brewer tries to get out of the position. Brewer throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cline uses it to pass to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Brewer on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Cline trying to control the position but Brewer is working away. Brewer is looking for a sweep. Brewer is not content to let Cline control the position. Brewer keeping his opponent close. Cline trying to control the position but Brewer is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cline takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Brewer to pass into mount. Cline looking to control but Brewer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brewer wants to hold on but Cline pushes him away. Cline lands a couple of good shots and Brewer has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brewer tries to roll but Cline sticks to his back.
Brewer is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Cline gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Brewer is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Cline is your winner!
