Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dio pinned against the cage. Dio gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dio has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Badass is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Dio moves into range and clinches up with Badass.

Dio lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Dio counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Badass throws out a loose jab but Dio uses good head movement to avoid it.
Billy Ray Badass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dio lands a left and a right that send Badass crashing to the mat, dazed. Dio thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oh Badass is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dio loads up on a big left hand. Badass felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Dio looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Badass can't hide his disappointment, as Dio celebrates the victory.

During a confident post fight interview, John Dio thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
