Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yamaz Ferkot (ranked 5459 p4p, 360 weight class) and Manny Perez (ranked 7148 p4p, 410 weight class). Manny Perez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yamaz Ferkot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Perez! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferkot misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Perez moves out of range of the body kick. A little jabbing left from Perez on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ferkot misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ferkot really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Perez moves out of range of the leg kick from Ferkot. Ferkot throws a lazy uppercut
and Perez counters with a straight right hand. A head kick by Ferkot misses and Ferkot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Perez works over Ferkot's head and body with a nice combination. Ferkot attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Perez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Perez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferkot moves out of range and avoids them all easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Perez blocks a head kick by Ferkot.
Ferkot takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Perez blocks the body kick.
Ferkot has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ferkot is rocked! Perez throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Ferkot's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Perez dives in looking to finish as Ferkot flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Perez's strikes! Perez is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Ferkot's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Ferkot was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Manny Perez!
