Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alberto El Parton (ranked 4811 p4p, 541 weight class) and Hank Jones (ranked 4188 p4p, 488 weight class). El Parton's entrance music is Licensed Tequila. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hank Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

7 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alberto El Parton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hank Jones! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as El Parton is landing a low percentage of strikes. Jones lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Alberto El Parton has been cut. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces El Parton off the cage and back into range. El Parton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

El Parton appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jones forces El Parton back against the cage and clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones lands with a right to the head.

Still in the clinch, Jones scores with a nice short uppercut. Jones pulls guard. Jones controlling El Parton's posture. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. El Parton content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. El Parton tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. El Parton won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. El Parton trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones lands a head shot. Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.

Alberto El Parton's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones is leaning against El Parton and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. El Parton is breathing heavily. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A right handed body shot lands from Jones.

Jeez, Alberto El Parton's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
El Parton is rocked! A short right from Jones. Oh El Parton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones throws a big uppercut that drops El Parton! More strikes from Jones and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! El Parton lies dazed against the cage as Jones celebrates with his cornermen!
