Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Watari Kan (ranked 1464 p4p, 169 weight class) and Ronie Cash (ranked 1869 p4p, 210 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Watari Kan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ronie Cash!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cash tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice uppercut there from Cash.
Kan tries to clinch up.
Watari Kan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kan throws a jab when Cash was well out of range.
Cash plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cash manages to avoid it.
Kan misses with a looping right.
Cash pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Cash just misses with a punch to the body.
Cash connects with an inside leg kick.
Cash looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kan misses with a straight right.
We've been told by Kan's head coaches at Grounders Foundation that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cash throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Kan to counter with a crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cash cracks Kan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kan misses with a straight right.
Cash lands with a hook. Kan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cash momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cash looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kan connects with a right hand. Cash shakes it off.
Kan scores with a jab to the head.
Cash scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Cash lands with a shot to the body.

Kan closes the distance and clinches.
A short left from Cash.
Kan blocks a body shot from Cash.
Cash misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cash's elbow.
Kan has a couple of punches blocked by Cash.
A short body shot lands from Kan as the two fighters clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cash blocking some punches.
Kan tries a body shot but Cash blocks it.
Kan misses with the head strike.
Kan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kan pushes Cash back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cash swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cash backwards.
Kan throws a punch but it's blocked by Cash.
Kan fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Cash blocks a body shot from Kan.
Cash misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cash lands a body shot in the clinch.
Cash lands a nice shot to the body.
Cash struggles to land a body shot inside as Kan controls his hands.
Cash blocking some punches.

Cash drags the fight down to the ground.
Cash trying to control the position.
Kan is looking to work some ground and pound but Cash has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cash manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kan manages to get himself to full guard.

Cash slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kan is trying to control Cash's posture but Cash avoids it.
Kan tries to control but Cash manages to take his back.

Cash working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Kan is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Cash has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Kan taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ronie Cash!
