Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Noir (ranked 2439 p4p, 311 weight class) and Braven Harris (ranked 2206 p4p, 284 weight class). Harris has chosen Karma Chameleon as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Noir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Braven Harris! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris misses with a two punch combination.
We've been hearing reports that Noir has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Noir changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harris looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Noir scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Harris to see if he's OK. You can see the frustration on Harris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harris is looking to reverse the position. The ground and pound from Noir seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Noir looks up at the clock and then as Harris takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Noir smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Harris is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Harris wants to control but Noir postures up. Harris is being controlled here. Harris is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Noir's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Harris tries to roll over but Noir keeps him under control. Harris felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Noir tries to pass the half guard into mount. Harris knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Harris wants to get back to his feet.

He's hooked one of Noir's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Noir's back! Harris is trying to stand. Harris has the hooks in. Harris takes a body punch but keeps moving. Noir uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Harris. Good standup being displayed there by Noir as he connects with a hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Noir throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice side step and Harris releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Noir jabs at Harris's body. A jab from Noir does it's job there. Noir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Harris moves away. Harris on the wrong end of a nice hook. Harris waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Noir. Harris slips under a jab from Noir. Noir fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Noir scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Harris tries to improve position but can't. Harris is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Noir has just dragged him back down to the mat. Noir lands a few punches from side control. Noir in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Noir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working. Harris tries to get back to half guard but can't. Harris struggling a bit here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Harris is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ground and pound from Noir seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on Harris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Noir in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Noir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harris manages to avoid it. Harris ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Noir moves away. Noir half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Harris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Noir here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Harris misses with a wild combination.
Noir is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around? Noir moves into range and connects with a jab. Braven Harris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Harris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Noir. Noir closes this distance looking for a takedown but Harris circles away. Noir gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Noir slips under a jab from Harris. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Harris throws a right and a left that both miss. Noir changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Harris tries to clinch and Noir counters with a straight right hand. Noir ducks under a wild hook from Harris. Noir looks to land a right hand but Harris moved out of range.

An attempted straight right counter from Noir misses the target. Noir dives in and scores a takedown into Harris's guard. Harris has momentary wrist control but Noir slips an elbow through the middle. Noir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Harris lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Harris has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Noir is proving hard to escape from. Noir is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harris defends well. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Harris has control of Noir's left arm, preventing Noir from doing any damage. Harris wants to get back to his feet but Noir is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Harris is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Harris is looking to take this fight into the clinch. It looked like Noir wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Noir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Noir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Noir misses with a straight right. Harris throws a looping overhand right but Noir ducks down to avoid it. Noir feinted with a counter takedown. Noir keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harris. Harris throws a shot from downtown. Noir moves away and avoids it. Noir takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Noir moves away from the strike by Harris. Harris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This has been an exciting period of action! Noir scoring with punches to the head and body. Harris looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Harris is looking to sweep but instead, Noir has passed into half guard.
Harris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Noir wants to free his trapped foot but Harris is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Noir scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Harris controlling the position for now. Noir is keen to just control but Harris is a slippery customer. Noir is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Harris is looking to control Noir's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Harris avoid being mounted? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harris is bucking up trying to escape but Noir cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Harris tries to hold on but Noir postures up. Noir looking to control but Harris is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Noir jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Harris manages to avoid the submission attempt. Noir scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Harris to see if he's OK. Noir lands some shots froms side control.
And that's the end of the fight! James Noir showed his dominance in that final round. Well Noir has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
