Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Harper (ranked 1154 p4p, 44 weight class) and Patrick Chaelsson (ranked 940 p4p, 53 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Harper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Chaelsson! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Harper. No joy for Chaelsson on that attempt. Chaelsson gets the takedown into side control. Chaelsson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Chaelsson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Chaelsson is putting a hurting on Harper here, landing some big shots from side control. Chaelsson landing strikes. Harper is being controlled here. Harper has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Chaelsson landing a few strikes. Chaelsson cracks Harper with an elbow. That is naaassty. Chaelsson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Chaelsson working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chaelsson lands a decent elbow from side control. Chaelsson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Harper down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Harper tries to get out of the position.

Harper is letting Chaelsson control him for a moment. It looks like Chaelsson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Chaelsson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The ground and pound from Chaelsson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Harper avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chaelsson. That's four minutes gone in the round. Chaelsson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chaelsson working the ground and pound from side control.
Chris Harper's cut is getting worse. Chaelsson cracks Harper with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Chaelsson immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Harper is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Chaelsson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Chaelsson! A very excited looking Patrick Chaelsson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
