Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Javier Dodson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Trendall! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trendall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dodson darts in trying to clinch and Trendall counters with a nice uppercut. Trendall shoots in but Dodson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Trendall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trendall decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trendall throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Trendall pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dodson back to the cage. Trendall follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Dodson fails with the takedown and Trendall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A left and a right from Trendall both land. Nice combination. Dodson fails with the takedown. Trendall lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trendall throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Trendall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Trendall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dodson did well to prevent Trendall getting side control. Trendall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dodson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dodson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Trendall is looking to stand up but Dodson won't let him. Dodson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dodson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trendall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Trendall stands and steps away. Dodson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Trendall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Trendall goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Trendall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Dodson counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trendall throws a right and a left that Dodson avoids nicely. Horrible takedown attempt by Trendall or perhaps it was just good defense by Dodson, which made it look bad. Javier Dodson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Trendall. Trendall looking to score a takedown here. Dodson is defending well but Trendall drives through and ends up in Dodson's guard. Dodson looking for a guillotine here but Trendall defends easily.

Dodson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dodson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Trendall has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Trendall is trying to break free. Dodson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Trendall's efforts to push away. Dodson prevents Trendall from breaking the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dodson tries to score a body lock takedown but Trendall shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Trendall blocks a body shot from Dodson. Trendall is trying to break the clinch but Dodson is controlling him. Trendall throws a head punch that misses. Trendall wants to break free but Dodson has control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Trendall wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dodson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Trendall throws a low kick but Dodson moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Trendall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That could be painful for both fighters.

Dodson sprawls well initially but Trendall persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Dodson pushes Trendall off and gets back to his feet. Trendall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trendall is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Trendall gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dodson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Dodson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A left and a right from Trendall both land. Nice combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trendall drives through with a takedown into guard. Dodson working for a triangle but Trendall defends it easily.
Dodson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Trendall defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dodson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Trendall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Trendall winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
