Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
28 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Lance Legstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zoran Paunovic!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paunovic defending well as Legstrong loads up on a big left hand.
Legstrong takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Paunovic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Paunovic goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Paunovic moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Paunovic is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Paunovic misses with a body kick.
Legstrong connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Paunovic's hands.
It looks like Zoran Paunovic has been cut.
We've been told by Legstrong's head coaches at Scotty's Yard that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Legstrong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paunovic.
Legstrong avoids the body shot from Paunovic.
Legstrong is looking to counter punch.
Paunovic fakes the leg kick and cracks Legstrong in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
An inside leg kick from Paunovic misses.
Legstrong swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A cross from Paunovic lands.
Paunovic throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A little feinted left hand from Legstrong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Paunovic misses with an attempted mid kick.
Legstrong ducks under a wild hook from Paunovic.
Paunovic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Legstrong's head.
No luck for Legstrong with that takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Paunovic! But no joy.
Paunovic fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Legstrong on the side of the head.
Legstrong is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paunovic wobbles Legstrong with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Paunovic dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Legstrong to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Zoran Paunovic!
