Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rip Snorten (ranked 1194 p4p, 137 weight class) and Daniel Mouwanga (ranked 2055 p4p, 235 weight class). Snorten's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sound of Silence. Mouwanga has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouwanga lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Snorten slips a jab from Mouwanga.
It looked like Snorten wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Daniel Mouwanga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been informed that Mouwanga has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

I was talking to Snorten's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Snorten is nestled in close to Mouwanga, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Snorten lands a big elbow - Mouwanga is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Snorten!
