The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmidt throws a hook to the side of Money's head but Money sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gandolf Schmidt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schmidt throws a hook but Money avoids it easily. Money getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Money uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schmidt.
Money punishes Schmidt's body with a nice straight punch. A slow jab from Money misses its intended target. Schmidt clinches up against the cage. Schmidt has a couple of punches blocked by Money.
Money swings wildly with an uppercut but Schmidt uses good head movement to avoid it. Schmidt stalling in the clinch but Money improves position. Schmidt leaning his opponent against the cage. Money blocking some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Money manages to break the clinch.
Schmidt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Money manages to avoid it. Money half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Schmidt throws a looping overhand right but Money ducks down to avoid it. The fighters circling - Schmidt throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Schmidt thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Money was well out of range. Poor timing from Schmidt. Schmidt fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Money checks it well. Money misses with a straight right. Schmidt appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Schmidt wants to clinch up but Money keeps it at a distance. Schmidt moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Gandolf Schmidt has been cut. Money throws an overhand right that lands on Schmidt's shoulder, as Schmidt tries to avoid the shot. Money fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Money tries to move into range but Schmidt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Mo' Money has been cut. Money lands a jab. Schmidt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Money.

Schmidt loads up on a big right hand but Money slips the punch. Money lands with a cross. Schmidt scores with a jab. Money acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schmidt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Money was well out of range. Poor timing from Schmidt. Money cracks Schmidt with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Money has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Schmidt to stand back up!
Schmidt is rocked! Schmidt moves in looking to clinch but Money pushes him off. Schmidt is still on wobbly legs! Can Money finish him? Schmidt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Money connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Schmidt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Money moves away from the strike by Schmidt. Schmidt scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Money drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Schmidt's head, knocking him out cold! Money is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mo' Money! Mo' Money decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
