Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bart Cubbedge ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rolen Scott! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott dodges the punch combination from Cubbedge .
Cubbedge looks for the body kick but Scott saw that one coming. Cubbedge dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scott. That did some damage! Cubbedge shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Scott is trying to defend but Cubbedge finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Scott manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Cubbedge keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes. Scott wants to get back to striking at distance but Cubbedge won't allow it.
Scott blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Cubbedge prevents Scott from breaking the clinch. Cubbedge trying to land knees to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scott working hard to break the clinch. Cubbedge prevents Scott from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Scott is trying to break free. Cubbedge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cubbedge misses with a hook to the ribs.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Scott wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cubbedge has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Scott regains guard immediately. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Scott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cubbedge trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scott is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cubbedge dives into side control.
Cubbedge working the ground and pound. Cubbedge happy to just control the position for now. Scott is looking to reverse the position. Cubbedge working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Scott tries to escape but Cubbedge is in control. Scott is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Cubbedge has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Scott is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cubbedge yanks on the arm and Scott is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cubbedge .
