Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhys Crowder (ranked 2599 p4p, 290 weight class) and Bobby McBarz (ranked 3156 p4p, 0 weight class). McBarz has chosen 50 Cent - In da club as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bobby McBarz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rhys Crowder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby McBarz! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McBarz lands a nice looking body shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! McBarz darts in and out, connecting with a jab. McBarz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A combination from McBarz does no damage. Crowder throws a hook but McBarz avoids it easily. McBarz throws a body punch but Crowder moves out of range. McBarz moves out of range as Crowder strikes. McBarz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. McBarz looks to land a combination but Crowder avoids it well. McBarz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crowder counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Bobby McBarz has been cut. Crowder uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McBarz.
Crowder misses with a looping right. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crowder paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Crowder scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. McBarz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crowder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. McBarz stalks Crowder and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Crowder's face. Crowder staggers backwards, shaken. McBarz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Crowder lands a jab to the nose. McBarz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crowder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. McBarz throws a right hand that Crowder ducks under and follows up with a left that Crowder also avoids with ease. McBarz misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Crowder counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Crowder digs a good body shot into McBarz's ribs. Nice jab there from Crowder.
That's one minute gone in the round. McBarz fails to land with a series of punches.
McBarz looks to score with a jab to the body but Crowder is just out of range. Crowder drops McBarz with a beautiful combination! McBarz stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Crowder is looking for the KO!
McBarz is rocked! Crowder takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. McBarz is still on wobbly legs! Can Crowder finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crowder throws a body punch but McBarz moves out of range. McBarz is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Crowder rather than just go for the knockout. McBarz slips a jab from Crowder. McBarz seems to have recovered his senses. McBarz looks to score with a jab to the body but Crowder is just out of range. Crowder wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Crowder keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McBarz. McBarz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Crowder swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Crowder misses with an uppercut. McBarz saw that one coming. McBarz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Crowder on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. McBarz fails to land with a series of punches.
McBarz throws a predictable looking body shot
and Crowder counters with a straight right hand.
That has opened up Bobby McBarz's cut even more. Crowder closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks McBarz out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rhys Crowder! Rhys Crowder decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
