Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Flores (ranked 8554 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyosuke Din (ranked 5212 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyosuke Din has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Luis Flores's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luis Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyosuke Din!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Din tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Din gets a takedown into half guard.
Flores wants to get back to full guard.
Din trying to control the action but Flores is working from the bottom.
Flores manages to get to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flores working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Din.

Flores controlling the position.
Din stands up over Flores, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Din trying to control but Flores is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flores is on top in guard.

Flores keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Din's head.

Flores stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Din has Flores up against the cage in a clinch.
Flores lands with a light punch inside.

Din jumps guard.
Flores not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Flores preventing the sweep.
Flores is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Flores could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Flores landing with the ground and pound.
Flores stands up over Din, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Flores lands a couple of digs.
Din wants to control the position but Flores says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Flores looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Din wants to control but Flores is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Din looks winded!
Flores blocks the strikes from Din.
Din pushes Flores off but Flores dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Flores stands up and beckons Din to his feet.

Din shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Din was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Flores wants to control but Din postures up.
Din really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flores. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Flores gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Flores has his hands clasped together around Din's back. He's all about the action.
Flores has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Luis Flores will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Din is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Din tries to clinch but Flores moves out of range.

Din decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Din seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Flores does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Flores is pressing down on Din's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Flores working for a triangle but Din defends it easily.
Din is looking to stand up but Flores won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Din throwing strikes but missing.

Flores had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Din defends it easily.
Din wants to pass the guard but Flores is keeping the position.
Flores is adopting a defensive guard.
Din wants to control from the top but Flores keeps moving.
Din is breathing heavily.
Flores tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Din being controlled here momentarily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Flores is on top in guard.


Flores stands and steps away. Din gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Din tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Flores closes the distance and clinches.

Din ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Din no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flores is stalling in the full guard.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Flores.
Flores postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Din has momentary wrist control but Flores slips an elbow through the middle.

Flores gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Flores feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Din is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Flores dives into side control.

Din trying to remain calm as Flores controls from the top position.
Flores creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Din seems a little lost for a moment, as Flores dominates the positioning.
Flores landing a few strikes.
Din trying to control but Flores flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick misses from Flores.
Din lands a jab to Flores's midsection.
Din lands a nice hook to Flores's body. Flores takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Din shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Din was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Flores holds on to Din's head and controls the position momentarily.
Flores manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Din has hold of Flores's hands but Flores slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Din takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Din tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Flores manages to move to mount!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flores lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flores dominating with strikes here.
Flores looking to finish Din with some ground and pound. This is bad for Din!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flores has hold of Din's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Din manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Flores gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Flores takes a kick to the side of the head.
Din tries to close the distance and clinch but Flores swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Flores closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Flores lands in his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Flores slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Flores stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Flores has Din up against the cage in a clinch.

Flores is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Din can't fight it off and eventually Flores manages to take the fight to the floor. Din looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flores, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
