Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alpha Omega (ranked 455 p4p, 56 weight class) and Felix Inarritu (ranked 1000 p4p, 119 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Inarritu's choice of entrance music: Vulcano. Felix Inarritu acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inarritu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Omega was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

It looked like Omega wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd cheers as Omega lands an impressive looking overhand right. Inarritu doesn't seem phased though.
Omega has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The fighters circle momentarily. Inarritu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Inarritu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Inarritu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Omega to score with a decent uppercut.
Inarritu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Omega stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Omega has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Inarritu finds it's way round the side to connect with Omega's head.
Omega is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Inarritu.
As Omega backs off Inarritu throws a huge counter combo but Omega manages to avoid it all.

Omega throws an overhand right that lands on Inarritu's shoulder, as Inarritu tries to avoid the shot.

Omega connects with a good right hand that stumbles Inarritu. Inarritu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Inarritu connects with a leg kick. Omega looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Inarritu throws a body punch but Omega moves out of range.
Omega is looking to counter punch.
Omega throws a nice outside leg kick.
Inarritu cracks Omega with an open hand slap.
Inarritu looks to score with a jab to the body but Omega is just out of range.
Omega swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Inarritu throws a sloppy body shot
and Omega counters with a series of strikes. Inarritu will be more careful next time no doubt.
Omega throws a jab but it's blocked by Inarritu.

Omega lands a big head kick that sends Inarritu tumbling to the mat! Omega takes a step backwards and waves Inarritu back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Felix Inarritu has been cut.
Omega buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Omega sends Inarritu crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Omega is motioning to the referee to let Inarritu up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Inarritu is still on wobbly legs! Can Omega finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Omega is stalking Inarritu. Inarritu circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Omega, and it's lights out! Inarritu really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
