8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bernd Obermueller! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obermueller darts in trying to clinch and Kemp counters with an inside leg kick. Obermueller tries to clinch there but Kemp circles away.
Kemp swats away the attempt to clinch by Obermueller. Obermueller darts in trying to clinch and Kemp counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Bernd Obermueller has been cut. Obermueller moves in looking to clinch but Kemp pushes him off. The fight moves into the clinch position. Obermueller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Obermueller trying to land knees to the body.

Obermueller blocks an uppercut.
Kemp gets through Obermueller's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kemp avoids the elbow strike from Obermueller, against the ropes.
Kemp misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Obermueller gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obermueller takes a shot to the head. Kemp on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kemp throws a head punch that misses. Kemp avoids a wild elbow strike from Obermueller. Kemp lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Obermueller backwards. Obermueller creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Obermueller throws a knee to the head but misses.
Obermueller told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Obermueller tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Obermueller is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kemp breaks from the clinch.
Obermueller is still on wobbly legs! Can Kemp finish him? Kemp fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Obermueller out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Ross Kemp! A less than humble Ross Kemp misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
