Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Vitor Freitas (ranked 4924 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandee Gorgrip (ranked 2959 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorgrip tries to clinch but Freitas moves out of range.
Freitas tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gorgrip manages to circle out of the way.
Freitas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Freitas wants it to stay on the feet.
Gorgrip goes for a double leg but Freitas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Freitas continues to drive forward.
Freitas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gorgrip gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Freitas to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gorgrip is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Freitas has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gorgrip looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gorgrip accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Gorgrip gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Freitas throws a low kick but Gorgrip moves out of range easily.
Gorgrip looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gorgrip ducks under a wild hook from Freitas.
Freitas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gorgrip fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fabio Vitor Freitas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandee Gorgrip.
Gorgrip shoots in looking for a takedown but Freitas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gorgrip's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Freitas tried to score with a low kick but Gorgrip checks it.

Gorgrip has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Freitas.
Gorgrip misses with a takedown attempt - Freitas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Freitas keeps the fight on the outside.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gorgrip enables Freitas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gorgrip manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Freitas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gorgrip on his heels. He'll look to pass Gorgrip's guard now, I'm sure.
Gorgrip had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Freitas defends it easily.
Gorgrip is breathing heavily.
Gorgrip is looking to sweep but instead, Freitas has passed into half guard.
Gorgrip is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Freitas has latched onto it... Big trouble! Freitas pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Gorgrip is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Freitas!
