Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Mason (ranked 1656 p4p, 249 weight class) and Ture Torped (ranked 742 p4p, 121 weight class). Torped has chosen Das boot - Movie soundtrack as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ture Torped has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Max Mason's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torped has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mason finds it's way round the side to connect with Torped's head.
Torped throws a sloppy body shot
and Mason connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mason throws a right hand that Torped ducks under and follows up with a left that Torped also avoids with ease.
It seemed like Torped was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A left lands for Torped.
Mason takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Max Mason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torped closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mason with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Torped to score with a decent uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Despite the aggression on Torped's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Torped moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Torped looks to land a left hand but Mason moved out of range nicely.
Mason was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Torped counters with a nice right hand that sends Mason toppling to the canvas! Mason scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Torped finish him?!
Oh Mason is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Mason counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Torped thinking.
Mason seems to have got his legs back now.

The crowd cheers as Mason lands an impressive looking overhand right. Torped doesn't seem phased though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
