Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Santiago Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kakashi Hatake!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a head kick that misses
and Hatake counters with a three punch combo that has Gracie backing up. Gracie nods at Hatake to acknowledge the strikes.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hatake looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Hatake takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hatake stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hatake wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santiago Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hatake is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Hatake is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Hatake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hatake is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hatake is defending against the submission attempts here by Gracie.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hatake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hatake won't allow Gracie to pass to mount.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Hatake is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
