The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Poli.
Poli misses with a left hand
enabling Boone to counter with a crisp jab.
Boone is looking to clinch but Poli is avoiding it.
Poli lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Boone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Poli throws a shot from downtown. Boone moves away and avoids it.
Boone appears to be looking for a big counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roli Poli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Poli lands a nice hook to Boone's body. Boone takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Poli misses with an uppercut.
As Poli looks to move away, Boone throws a big counter combo but Poli just gets out of the way.
Boone walks into a jab.

Poli throws a lazy uppercut
and Boone counters with a straight right hand.
Boone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Boone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Poli looks to score with a jab to the body but Boone is just out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Poli clobbers Boone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Boone misses with a looping right.
Poli is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Boone with a body shot.
Poli scores with the left hand. Boone knows he should have avoided that one.

Boone is rocked!
Boone throws a lazy uppercut
and Poli counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boone thinking.
Poli cracks Boone with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Oh Boone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Poli has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Poli fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Boone to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Boone looks to clinch but Poli throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Boone taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
