Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Siegel (ranked 2207 p4p, 206 weight class) and Gary Tonon (ranked 2147 p4p, 204 weight class). Siegel comes to the cage accompanied by Coolio ft. L.V - Gangsta's Paradise. Tonon has chosen What About Now as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Tonon!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonon gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Siegel.
Siegel lands a leg kick that knocks Tonon off balance momentarily.
Tonon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Siegel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tonon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Siegel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tonon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Siegel pinned against the cage. Siegel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tonon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Siegel quickly recovers to half guard.
Tonon wants to control but Siegel is keeping him busy.
Siegel is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Tonon is looking to take a break and control but Siegel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tonon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Siegel, pushing him back against the cage.

Tonon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Siegel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Siegel is pushing down on Tonon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tonon is fighting to maintain full guard but Siegel has managed to sneak the leg through.

Gary Tonon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Siegel's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Tonon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A slow jab from Siegel misses its intended target.
Tonon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Tonon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Siegel manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Siegel pushes Tonon off and scrambles back to his feet.
Tonon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tonon there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gary Tonon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Siegel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Benjamin Siegel.
I think Tonon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
