The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Menshikov digs a right hand underneath Ruas's ribcage. Ruas let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Menshikov lands a big right hand that drops Ruas! The killer instinct kicks in and Menshikov finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Menshikov!

A relieved looking Maxim Menshikov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Carlos Ruas had this to say: 'No one likes seeing their opponent's hand raised, but that just means that they were the better man today. My team at 3Band MMA and I will break down this match and make the proper changes for my next camp.'.
