PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Moore (ranked 1110 p4p, 170 weight class) and Duncan Ferguson (ranked 1316 p4p, 207 weight class). Moore comes to the cage accompanied by Sad Man's Tongue by Volbeat. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ferguson throws the left hand but Moore avoids the punch easily.
Moore takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ferguson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Moore shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Moore was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Moore tries to score with some ground and pound. Ferguson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Ferguson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ferguson tries to hold on but Moore postures up.
Poor strikes thrown by Moore there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Ferguson looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferguson wants to control but Moore is having none of it.

Moore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Duncan Ferguson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

A relieved looking Carl Moore thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
