The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith defending well as Banes loads up on a big left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Banes's head backwards.

Banes is looking to land body kicks.
Smith is looking for a counter combo.
Banes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Smith.
Smith drops Banes with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Banes! Smith dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
