Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Macho Man Savage (ranked 2828 p4p, 303 weight class) and Scar Ambe (ranked 1988 p4p, 233 weight class). Man Savage comes to the cage accompanied by Hey Freakshow!. Ambe has chosen Gonna - The World is Yours as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scar Ambe! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man Savage moves into range and connects with a jab. Man Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ambe's coach down at ELITE Island Gym - All Elite Coaches was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ambe's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Man Savage tries to clinch up but Ambe circles away and keeps his distance. Macho Man Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice shot by Man Savage. Man Savage throws a body punch but Ambe moves out of range. Ambe is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Man Savage definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ambe gets a double leg takedown into Man Savage's guard. Ambe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Man Savage working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ambe. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Man Savage is on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ambe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Man Savage works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Ambe controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Man Savage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ambe on the ground. Ambe is pushing down on Man Savage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Man Savage is fighting to maintain full guard but Ambe has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ambe passes to side control. Man Savage taking punishment in the form of punches.

Man Savage on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Ambe scores with a couple of short elbows. Ambe sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Man Savage is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ambe moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ambe advances to mount. Ambe lands a big elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ambe controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ambe tries to close the distance and clinch but Man Savage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ambe fails to land the takedown. Man Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ambe moves away. Man Savage cracks Ambe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Man Savage throws a hook to the side of Ambe's head but Ambe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ambe shoots in but Man Savage avoids the takedown attempt easily. Man Savage catches Ambe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Man Savage has closed the distance and engaged Ambe in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ambe misses with a punch on the inside.

Macho Man Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scar Ambe. Ambe swings wildly with an uppercut but Man Savage uses good head movement to avoid it. Ambe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Man Savage is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot in the inside from Man Savage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Man Savage. Man Savage lands with a right to the head. Ambe working Man Savage over with knees to the body. Ambe blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Man Savage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man Savage tries to get out of the position. Ambe wants to pass the guard but Man Savage is keeping the position. Ambe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Man Savage avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ambe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ambe lands a couple of digs. Ambe cracks Man Savage with a solid left hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ambe is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Man Savage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ambe is one step ahead there. Ambe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ambe working some strikes from top position. Ambe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ambe controls from within his opponent's guard. Ambe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Man Savage dips to his left and cracks Ambe with an uppercut! Macho Man Savage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Man Savage looks to land a combination but Ambe avoids it well. Man Savage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ambe throws out the jab. Man Savage tries to clinch up but Ambe circles away and keeps his distance. Ambe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ambe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Man Savage napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Man Savage is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ambe sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Man Savage is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ambe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Man Savage down.

Scar Ambe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Ambe or perhaps it was just good defense by Man Savage, which made it look bad. Ambe fails to land with a series of punches.

Scar Ambe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Man Savage scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ambe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ambe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ambe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Man Savage is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ambe is taking a breather. Man Savage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ambe works his way into side control. Macho Man Savage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ambe controlling the position. Ambe cracks Man Savage with a big right hand but Man Savage just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The referee asks Ambe politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ambe prefers to stall for the moment though. Man Savage is trying to control Ambe's posture but Ambe avoids it. Man Savage is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Man Savage's face as Ambe controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Macho Man Savage showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ambe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
