Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Manuel (ranked 574 p4p, 64 weight class) and Shelby Foote (ranked 1148 p4p, 116 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel misses with a two punch combination.
Foote misses with a few strikes there.
Foote pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Foote misses with a head kick.
Foote missing with a left hand there. Manuel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Manuel lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Manuel throws a looping overhand right but Foote ducks down to avoid it.
Manuel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Foote feints the counter takedown.
Manuel moves away from the strike by Foote.
A decent looking cross lands there for Foote.
Shelby Foote seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manuel lands a lovely overhand right.
Foote has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Foote tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manuel defends well and Foote ends up having to push Manuel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Manuel throws a lazy right hand but Foote sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Manuel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manuel ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Foote.
Foote wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manuel keeps working.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Foote working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Foote thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Foote is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Manuel defends it well.

Manuel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Foote gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Manuel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Foote shoots in looking for a takedown but Manuel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Foote's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Foote pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Manuel back to the cage. Foote follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Manuel throws a hook but Foote blocks it.
Foote scoring well with a low kick there.
Manuel loads up on a big right hand but Foote slips the punch.
Foote with the counter takedown but Manuel avoids it easily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Manuel crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Foote - the referee stops the clock and Manuel gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Foote. Manuel manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Foote takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
