Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gap Turner (ranked 3476 p4p, 374 weight class) and Elijah David (ranked 4186 p4p, 421 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gap Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah David! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Turner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches David napping and manages to drive through into side control! David is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. David takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Turner working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Turner in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Turner is working David over with some ground and pound from side control. The strikes coming from Turner are missing the target in this wave of attacks. David parries the strikes from Turner easily there. Turner is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable David to escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! David struggling a bit here. David is not content to let Turner control the position. Sloppy strikes there by Turner.

Turner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in David's guard. David is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. David lands a nice short elbow. Turner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but David is one step ahead there. David postures up.

Is there anything that David can do to turn this around? David chips away with some ground and pound. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. David manages to get himself to full guard.

A close second round but Elijah David will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

David prevents Turner from getting the reversal. David working Turner over with strikes here. David lands a big shot there that rocks Turner but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Turner gets back to half guard. Turner regains full guard. Nicely done. Turner pulls David in close to prevent any damage. David postures up.

Turner pulls David in close to his closed guard and prevents David from doing any damage or advancing position. David in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. David distracts Turner with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. David chips away with some ground and pound. Turner is trying to control the position but David postures up. Turner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. David has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Turner trying to strike off his back.
David wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Turner looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. David scores with the left hand. Turner knows he should have avoided that one. David leaves Turner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gap Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him. David swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Turner decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in David's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now David is on top in guard.
David lands a couple of elbows. David tries to free his leg and advance position but Turner is retaining full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Elijah David comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think David has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
