Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Turd McPherson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mister Mojo! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Mojo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mojo. McPherson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Decent striking displayed by Mojo there. Mojo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McPherson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mojo.
McPherson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Mojo catches McPherson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Mister Mojo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mojo avoids the head kick by McPherson.
Mojo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. McPherson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. McPherson throws a push kick but Mojo slaps the foot to one side. McPherson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mojo as he avoids it easily. McPherson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McPherson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McPherson working away. McPherson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. McPherson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. McPherson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. McPherson scores with punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Mojo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mojo can do anything to dispel that myth. Mojo is not content to let McPherson control the position. Mojo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
McPherson cracks Mojo with a big elbow. McPherson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McPherson looks up at the clock and then as Mojo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McPherson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
McPherson scores with a couple of short elbows. McPherson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mojo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McPherson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mojo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McPherson's guard! Nice work there by Mojo! McPherson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mojo defends it easily. McPherson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McPherson has his feet on Mojo's thighs here. He's pushed Mojo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mojo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
