Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brett Causey (ranked 6457 p4p, 512 weight class) and Gregor Konor (ranked 4427 p4p, 428 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brett Causey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Konor! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Causey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Causey throws a right hand that Konor ducks under and follows up with a left that Konor also avoids with ease. Causey looks to throw a body kick and Konor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Causey's guard. Konor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Konor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Causey is keeping the position for now. Causey is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Russian Bears Training Center that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Konor is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Causey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Konor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Konor fails with the takedown. Causey appears to be looking for a big counter. Causey swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Konor counters with a shoot takedown. Causey fights it but they end up in guard. Konor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Causey is looking to stand back up but Konor counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Causey. Konor sitting and controlling from the half guard. It looks like Konor might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Konor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Causey looks like he's trying to stand up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Causey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Konor on the ground. Konor is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Konor slows the pace down in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Causey pushes Konor off looking to stand but Konor dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregor Konor dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Causey throws a leg kick and Konor counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Konor. Konor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Causey wants to stand up but Konor is controlling him. Konor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Causey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Konor is controlling him. Konor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Konor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Causey thows a leg kick but Konor checks it and Konor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Konor sitting in guard, not really doing much. Let's hope that Konor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Causey is wriggling around but Konor manages to pass to half guard.
Konor is taking a breather. Causey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Konor.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Konor works his foot free and advances to mount. Konor controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Konor looking to isolate an arm here. Causey doesn't see it coming and as Konor extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Konor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gregor Konor! During a confident post fight interview, Gregor Konor thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
